Dodge Ram 2500 radio
Remove a Dodge Ram 2500 radio is not that difficult. But it would confuse you if it’s the first time you upgrade a head unit. Here’s the picture (picture1) of a Dodge Ram 2500 radio. There’s a cover at the top of the trim panel. Remove the cover and you will see two screws (as picture2).

Remove the screws by the screwdriver. And, use your hands to take the trim panel off the dashboard hard (as picture3). There are many wires on the trim panel. You don’t need to disconnect them if you don’t want to connect them later, because there’s enough space for you to remove the radio.

You can see four screws on the radio in picture4. Remove them and take the radio out of the dash as picture5. Disconnect the wiring harness at the back of the radio and place the radio aside.

You have removed the original radio from the Dodge Ram successfully. Now, you can install a new stereo in the car. Different car stereos may be different in installation. You should refer to the installation instruction from the dealer. If there are technicians from the dealer, you’d better ask them for help if you meet any problems.
After installation, you should connect the negative cable on the battery and turn on the new unit to test if everything works well. If everything’s good, you can enjoy the time with your new head unit now.
