- Remove the two screws beneath the trim panel.
- Use a lever to pry the trim panel until it’s loosened.
- Take the trim panel off the dashboard by hands gently.
- Remove the screws on the original radio.
- Take the radio out of the dash.
- Disconnect the wiring harness at the back of the radio and place the radio aside.
- Connect the new unit to the wiring harness and slide it into the dash.
- Test the new unit.
- Install the trim panel back to the dashboard.
Now, you have upgraded a Dodge Viper radio. There’s something you should pay attention to during upgrade. The wires connections may be different in different units. You should according to the installation instruction from the dealer and connect them. Some units need wiring harness adaptor. If you need one, you can get it from the aftermarket.
