Dodge Ram original head unit

Please disconnect the negative cable on the vehicle battery to ensure security. Please prepare tools for the upgrade. A lever and a screwdriver are needed. Please protect the front seats and trim panel during upgrade, too.
Remove the original Dodge RAM head unit:
Step1, remove the trim panel. The trim panel is big. And, you should remove it from the bottom of the steering wheel. Picture 1 is the left bottom of the trim panel. Pry the gap as it shows. And, the part which is under the bottom of the steering wheel can be removed easily.

Now, move to the right bottom of the trim panel and remove the screw in the hole.

Then, use a lever to pry the trim panel until it is loosened.

At last, take it off the dashboard.

Step2, remove the radio. Remove the screws and take the unit out of the dash. You will see wires at the back of the unit. Disconnect them and put the unit away.

The original car stereo is removed now. The next is to install the new unit in your car. The installation would be similar between different new units. Please install it correctly. If you are confused with the wires connections, please ask for help.
After installation, don’t forget to test the new unit. Pay attention to GPS navigation system, radio, TV and so on if it has these functions. If there are any problems, please contact your dealer for help.
